Big Trouble in Little China is the greatest film ever made. That is an undeniable fact. As kids, my brother and I used to watch this movie ALL THE TIME. There was one summer where I swear we watched this movie at least once a day, every single day. I have seen this film more times than I can begin to count, and it is still my favorite movie to this day. With that in mind, I have NO IDEA how this flew under my radar, but there apparently is a board game being developed based upon the film. I just happened to stumble upon this article a couple of nights ago.
I have had an incredibly difficult week, so I really needed the smile that this game brings to my face. The game, which is still in development, is a co-op, strategy, miniatures game for 1-4 players. It uses a double-sided board with one side depicting Chinatown, the other side, Lopan’s Lair.
The game will be available for pre-order later this year, and you better believe I will be picking this game up. Images of several minis have already been shown such as the three storms, Thunder, Lightning, and Rain, but no images of good old Jack Burton himself, or Lopan. Hopefully we will get those soon. In the meantime, here are a couple of images to hold us over.
Be sure to check out the game’s official website and sign up for updates, as well as Like and Follow the game’s official Facebook page. I will be following developments for this game with great interest.
On a related note, you can purchase my favorite t-shirt ever right here!
That is all for tonight. The Doctor Strange movie has been playing on the TV for the last forty-five minutes, so I should probably actually start paying attention to it. Let me know in the comments if anyone out there is as excited about this game as I am.
I leave you know with one of the greatest monologues in the history of film…
