Well, I guess it’s been quiet a while since my last post. I didn’t really intend for that to happen, but I guess that’s the way it goes sometimes. Life can be interesting. With that being said, Games Workshop has finally given us some new Blood Bowl releases, and I’m back to give you all another unboxing.
Now, you might notice right away that this post looks a lot different than my normal unboxing posts… Well, I decided that I wanted to try something a little different. I’ve been wanting to transition to video format for a while, and even toyed with a few video AND written posts last year. Well, this time I have decided to attempt a video only unboxing. I’m fairly new to the YouTube scene, so I hope you’ll bare with me. I hope that this will be the primary format of my unboxing moving forward, so let me know what you think in the comments below, or in the comments section on the YouTube page!

Wyrd Stones and Tackle Zones 
Nice video Mike C! First time I’ve heard your voice, so that was a little funny for me. I quit watching after the dice. I don’t have a dice addiction though. Just kidding! Actually, I will have to go back and watch the unboxing of the Chaos Chosen team later.
Video vs posts….hard to say. I like posts, because you get nice static images and can read anytime/anywhere in bits if need be. On the other hand, it’s a really nice video too.
It’s funny, I went the opposite on buying this round. I didn’t buy the Star Player pack because I figured all of them would make it into the Team Packs later on. With the Team Packs you get the Special Play cards. Though you also get the positional and character cards, which I’ll probably never use.

Yeah, the large majority of the cards in the team specific packs are those player reference cards that I will never get any use out of. Yes, those packs come with a small number of Special Play cards as well, but I already have a LOT of those cards. I don’t need to spend twice as much money just to get a few more Special Play cards.
As far as switching to YouTube, more than anything, it’s motivated by the fact that I find myself going to YouTube more and more for info and entertainment. I just don’t find myself reading blogs and websites nearly as much as I used to.

I’m still pretty old school, in that I prefer to read material. I can skim a blog much faster than a video, if needed. My teen would argue that YouTube is better, but I think they both serve their purpose. I watch a lot of ‘how to’ videos on YouTube definitely. Most importantly though is going to be to pick the format that is fun for you. I’m still trying to get over the fact that you don’t sound like Jack Burton!
Yea, I think you could go either way on the packs. It’s too bad the Team cards are stuffed with extraneous stuff. I guess new people might really like it.

Does the team box come with extra heads? The horns on the beast men are swappable? Are the beast men heads work on each body type?
Overall great unboxing. Thankfully I’m already sitting on three Chaos teams so I wasn’t too tempted this go around. Not sure how the Dark Elves will go…

There are four total heads on each sprue for the Chaos Blockers (Warriors for you 3rd edition people!), but they are really just 2 of the same head with and without spikes. All the heads include a neck piece, so without some modeling work, you really can’t swap heads willy nilly. The Beastmen do have interchangeable horns, which I think I forgot to mention in the video. The horns can be a little bit of a pain to get to sit correctly due to their sprue attachment point.

The Blocker is a little larger than the Human Lineman, but not by much. I guess it stands to reason that the Chaos Blockers ARE Human, but Chaos-ified.
