Next team up on the painting block is my dwarf team. Continuing my trend of NFL themed teams, it’s on to the Games Workshop dwarf team. Pittsburg’s historic history of the steel industry is a great fit for a dwarven team, as is their history of punishing defenses and a strong running game. Thanks to Casey for whipping up the team logo for me!  In case you don’t know, Gromril is the Warhammer metal that is prized by all for making of armor and weapons.  I went with the city of Zhufbar as it was renowned for its metal working, and it fit perfectly with the theme. Experimenting With a New Basing Technique

For me, basing has always been the last thing I do on my models when I paint them.  This tends to make basing one of my least favorite things to do as its the last hurdle needed to call a project done.  My current basing style looks fair, but I also feel that it takes a long time to get that look.  I want to find a faster way to get things based without sacrificing on the quality.  Enter Geek Gaming Scenics! Warcry: Turning Mordheim Models into Roaming Beasts

Logic would suggest that a person should start with the basics of a game before they start adding extras into the mix.  Being a less than speedy painter I can never keep up with the Games Workshop production line of new products.  This typically results in me having making a hodgepodge collection as I move in and out of the collection stream.  This time around instead of starting with the core released box set of the game I have instead gone with roaming beasts that are not even part of the core rules.
