Hard to believe that this project is still a work in progress. After decreeing that it would be completed by the end of 2017 it is still trucking along. In all fairness I had to move and leave the country for a bit which made painting impossible for a good chunk of time. Upon my return I’ve been in an out of school and my work tempo has been through the roof. Under the Brush: Wood Elves for Tale of Tuesdays
The day after I wrote my unboxing for the new Games Workshop Atherlorn Avengers kit, I started painting some minis for the Blood Bowl painting challenge put on by Tale of Painters. If you’ve seen my post on the Blood Bowl Community over on Facebook, I’ve been playing around a lot with Photoshop trying to nail down my team colors. While my Arsenal and Codillion Clarions color schemes got lots of likes, in the end I decided to go with a Celtic inspired theme. Recently, Catalyst Games released two new introductory box-sets for the battle-hardened BattleTech line. Despite gaming longer than BattleTech’s 35 years in existence, I’ve never actually gamed anything in this IP. Not even the ever popular video-games. But here I am…in my mid-40s and it looks like I’m becoming a Mechwarrior.
New Citadel Metallics
In all the hubbub about the new Contrast paints, some new colors added to the classic Citadel range have kind of been forgotten about. Some of these are colors that used to be part of the Forge World paint range but have been brought into the Citadel fold. I picked up two (Grey Knight Steel and Iron Warriors) and gave them a shot.
