The excellent Blitz Bowl: Ultimate Edition brought two new pitches to the game. Following the use of coach dp36 in the Blitz Bowl Discord, one of the two matches up well with some of the spiked terrain from the Warcry Catacombs box.

Continue readingBack in Orctober I painted up a Black Orc Blitz Bowl team with the idea being that those six models could combine with the six models of my Orc Blitz Bowl team to be a 12 model strong College of Metal squad. Both Orc teams are black with white shoulder pads. Well, the College of Metal have a few other player options… Human Blitzers and Khorne Bloodseekers.
Continue readingMy son has been wanting to try out the Lizardmen team for awhile, but I tend to lean on a pretty strict “Play it Painted” mentality, so we haven’t run this squad in our Blitz Bowl games. Additionally, I struggled a bit with what color scheme I wanted to go with. Finally, I decided, the heck with it, let’s get ’em done.
Continue readingGot in a quick hobby project before the Holiday…a new coach for my Orc Team using the recent Goff Rocker. Not many conversions here…an attempt at buttons on the guitar strap (in place of bullets) and added the goblin-in-a-football to the base to give the model a little more BB flair. Now all my greenskin models are painted up.
Happy Holidays Everyone!
Similar to the halflings needing a Treeman in the last post, the goblin team was now short a Troll with the release of Ultimate Edition. I made a trade for one of the plastic Blood Bowl trolls and had a go at doing him up in the browns of my Blitz Bowl goblin team.
Continue readingLast month’s Orctober project allowed me to wrap up some various odds and ends in my orc Blood Bowl model collection that needed to be completed. Inspired by that, I used November, the month of giving thanks and enjoying a feast, to do something similar for my Halfling models. Let’s see what was accomplished…
Continue readingWhile I was working on the Mournmountain Sabretusks ogre team for the local Blood Bowl league, I went ahead and tackled the Blitz Bowl version of the ogre team as well. However, instead of the same red, white, and blue colors, I went grey and yellow to maximize their gaming potential.
Continue readingEvery September, the biggest Blood Bowl tournament in North America, and probably the Western Hemisphere, takes place in Chicago, Illinois. This year is the 20th anniversary of the event and the tournament organizer has themed it around the old-school Slann team of second edition fame. So, with space frogs as the tournament theme, they’re also the Legacy Team for anyone opting to participate in the Legacy Team project.
Continue readingI’ve already got plenty of Blood Bowl models on dungeon tile bases (for my Blitz Bowl collection), so the recent re-release of GW’s DungeonBowl was an easy “yes”. I already had all the team models that came in the DB set, as I had been collecting them for Blitz Bowl. The only plastic in the DB box left to paint were the treasure chests and portals.
Continue readingSo despite how it seems I actually did ‘finish’ this project the month after my last update. ‘Finishing’ this project actually started the beginning of a very productive time that saw me shy away from posting in favor of feverishly working on hobby projects like a mad scientist. That lasted until the world ended in 2020 and now I’m a year behind schedule on getting updates published. Anyhow, enough of my rambling and on to the near end of this never ending project!
