I woke up this morning to the alarm going off on my phone, as I roll over to hit the snooze my bleary eyes so a push notification from YouTube telling me Warhammer TV has posted a new video, a trailer for Soul Wars. What’s this, my brain asks? My bleary eyes take in the info, then check Warhammer Community to see a news post about a mile long detailing all the million awesome things coming to Age of Sigmar this month.
I took part in a ‘Painting Challenge’ this month and used the opportunity to finish out the Crypt Ghouls for my ‘Chamber of the Bloodied Dawn’ Flesh Eater Courts army. Here are my take away thoughts painting these ghoulies out to a 1000pt army.
Happy Warhammer Fest weekend everyone! And happy Mothers’ Day to all you moms in the US! Unfortunately living in the US I couldn’t make it to Warhammer Fest (sigh … maybe some day) but it was exciting to wake up this morning and check my social media feeds for updates from the big Games Workshop convention. It felt like being a kid on Christmas morning again! Except with news instead of presents. About stuff I’ll have to spend my own money on instead of gifts from Santa. Enough chit chat, let’s get to the good stuff, Wyrd Stones & Tackle Zones favorite game: Blood Bowl!
The first big reveal, the next team! We just had the Chaos Chosen Doom Lords the other week so I’ll admit I was surprised to see the next team completely revealed and it’s none other than the wicked dark elves!

Just thought I’d give a few updates tonight on my Rivendell elves army for the Hobbit Strategy Battle Game. No progress on the heroes (except that I got some parts for mounted Gil-Galad) but I’ve been working on some troops over the past few weeks.
I’ve scrapped the idea of using silicone to make press molds for now, even returned the silicone to the store. Will just be using good old-fashioned hacking up minis. But if you’ve got an extra armored Glorfindel or Erestor let me know.
Check out that lovely chair our neighbor gave us! We have a very trendy interior design style, it’s called “free chic.”
I’ve been trying to figure out the case situation for my minis for a little while now. I’ve been using the deluxe box of the Willy Miniatures Ratmen Team that I unboxed a few months back to get my Blood Bowl stuff around to my league games. And it’s been fine. But I’ve also recently gotten into the Hobbit Strategy Battle Game which requires quite a few more models than Blood Bowl. Not hundreds of models, but dozens. So I need a solution for that too, as well as my BB team.
I posted this to the Facebook page last week, but I figure I should officially put it on the blog to keep it with all the rest of my Silver Tower Denizens chaos renegades WIP.
Warhammer Quest Silver Tower is the game that launched my current Age of Sigmar obsession, and at some point I’ll jot down all the reasons Age of Sigmar is deserving of your hobby time. For now, I’m sharing another home-made hero.
Our friends over at Willy Miniatures kindly sent us over a copy of their recent Kickstarter success, the Ratmen Team. It arrived all the way from Spain last Saturday and it has taken me all week to assemble, photograph and write up this review because there is a LOT inside this box. Let’s get on with it.
