Being stuck overseas and in austere environments means I am not able to accomplish much hobby work.  Thankfully though, the internet enables me to stay connected to all the nice new minis in the works and the generous tax break of being in a combat zone means I’ve got plenty of greenbacks piling up.  What better outlet to unclutter my wallet than a stroll through the Fantasy Football market on Kickstarter.  Two projects have jumped out and waylaid my savings, promising me piles of models to rummage through when I finally come home. Well, I guess it’s been quiet a while since my last post. I didn’t really intend for that to happen, but I guess that’s the way it goes sometimes. Life can be interesting. With that being said, Games Workshop has finally given us some new Blood Bowl releases, and I’m back to give you all another unboxing.

Now, you might notice right away that this post looks a lot different than my normal unboxing posts… Well, I decided that I wanted to try something a little different. I’ve been wanting to transition to video format for a while, and even toyed with a few video AND written posts last year. Well, this time I have decided to attempt a video only unboxing. I’m fairly new to the YouTube scene, so I hope you’ll bare with me. I hope that this will be the primary format of my unboxing moving forward, so let me know what you think in the comments below, or in the comments section on the YouTube page!

Warhammer Fest Round-up: Blood Bowl

Happy Warhammer Fest weekend everyone! And happy Mothers’ Day to all you moms in the US! Unfortunately living in the US I couldn’t make it to Warhammer Fest (sigh … maybe some day) but it was exciting to wake up this morning and check my social media feeds for updates from the big Games Workshop convention. It felt like being a kid on Christmas morning again! Except with news instead of presents. About stuff I’ll have to spend my own money on instead of gifts from Santa. Enough chit chat, let’s get to the good stuff, Wyrd Stones & Tackle Zones favorite game: Blood Bowl!

The first big reveal, the next team! We just had the Chaos Chosen Doom Lords the other week so I’ll admit I was surprised to see the next team completely revealed and it’s none other than the wicked dark elves!

Blood Bowl – More Guts, More Glory!

One day last year I was doing my usual daily jaunt through the interwebs, and I came across an announcement for a new Blood Bowl comic book from Titan Comics called Blood Bowl More Guts, More Glory! I was interested, but since I’m not a huge comic book fan, I promptly forgot all about. Then about a week ago, the memory of the announcement randomly popped into my head. I jumped onto Amazon, found that there was now a trade paperback collection of all 4 issues, and promptly made an order.

The case of the perfect case

Check out that lovely chair our neighbor gave us! We have a very trendy interior design style, it’s called “free chic.”

I’ve been trying to figure out the case situation for my minis for a little while now. I’ve been using the deluxe box of the Willy Miniatures Ratmen Team that I unboxed a few months back to get my Blood Bowl stuff around to my league games. And it’s been fine. But I’ve also recently gotten into the Hobbit Strategy Battle Game which requires quite a few more models than Blood Bowl. Not hundreds of models, but dozens. So I need a solution for that too, as well as my BB team.

December Blood Bowl Releases – Part 4

Well, thanks to the Holiday madness, this post is going up about a week later than I originally planned. Life happens… at least it’s finally getting posted. So far we have looked at the new Elven Union team, all the new pitches, and the Team Card Packs. Now we’re going to take a look at the Inaugural Blood Bowl Almanac. The Almanac is a collection of Blood Bowl rules and information from Death Zone Season One and Two and White Dwarf articles, as well as a few other tidbits. the material may be familiar to anyone who has been keeping up with releases, but the Almanac sure does do a good job of pretty up the presentation.
