Under the Brush: Cleavedhead Barrows pt. 6 – Penalty Flag on the Final Drive!

So despite how it seems I actually did ‘finish’ this project the month after my last update. ‘Finishing’ this project actually started the beginning of a very productive time that saw me shy away from posting in favor of feverishly working on hobby projects like a mad scientist.  That lasted until the world ended in 2020 and now I’m a year behind schedule on getting updates published.  Anyhow, enough of my rambling and on to the near end of this never ending project!

Under the Brush: Tale of Tuesday Cleavedhead Barrows pt. 5

ClevelandBrownsElfIts been an unprecedented flurry of painting these past few months.  Its mostly out of fear up my new schedule that is about to start completing crushing what little free time I have.  Fear is apparently a good motivator as it has enabled me to keep up with the Tale of Tuesdays posts to get this extended project closer to the finish line!

Hard to believe that this project is still a work in progress.  After decreeing that it would be completed by the end of 2017 it is still trucking along.  In all fairness I had to move and leave the country for a bit which made painting impossible for a good chunk of time.  Upon my return I’ve been in an out of school and my work tempo has been through the roof.  Still, I try to work on the project when time allows and keeping with the Tale of Tuesdays Blood Bowl challenge, I thought I would provide an update of my progress. Believe it or not this project yet lives!  Ironic that a project involving the undead refuses to die.  Despite the inconvenience of having to put my life on hold for a year, I’m now back home and still trying to get this team finished.  It’s been a bit of a rough start as I was more than certainly a bit rusty with the old paint brush.  Still, despite a bit of squeaky joints I made some noticeable progress.

Under the Brush: Cleavedhead Barrows Pt. 2

ClevelandBrownsElfSo word must have gotten out at work that I had a few minutes of spare time in the evening as it seems since my last update my work load has been grown exponentially.  Despite the lame hours away from home and family I have been slowly chipping away at my undead team and have a status update for everybody. Under the Brush: the Cleavedhead Barrows, Part 1

Recently I did a review of the Vortice Undead team and named them as my go-to undead team for Blood Bowl.  Originally my plan had been to finish the team out by the years end.  Under a normal work schedule combined with my generally sloth painting speed that would have been a tough challenge for me to accomplish.  Alas, work decided to move me across country with a good three week notice and also decided to place me in an new organization that has the work tempo set to 11.  As you can imagine this has thrown a wrench in my dreams of have having the team painted by years end but I have made some progress and now is my time to show off what I have finished.

Off the Beaten Pitch: Vortice Undead/Necro Team Review

Over the years my collection of Blood Bowl teams has waxed and waned in direct correlation to my time available to game and my economic standing.  Despite the fluctuations the one team I never pulled the trigger on was the Undead team.  I’ve always liked the idea of an Undead team ever since I read about the Champions of Death and their coach Tomolandry the Undying.  Despite the interest in the team I was never truly satisfied with the team options out there.  GWs Undead had good components but the Zombies where weakly done and I also felt like the Ghouls looked like they were in need of a sports bra.  What I longed for was an Undead team that had a consistent sports team look that still offered great details and a lot of character.
