Last October, in celebration of “Orktober” I painted up several flavors of green-skin models to make teams for a few different Blood Bowl titles. This year, I did something similar, but for Undead. Cruising through my painting queue this year, I wrapped up models 149-154. So far, this is a banner year in painting. These six Nobility models sat primed in storage for a good long while until I could settle on a theme. I’m envisioning this set from the Border Princess region maybe and with a bit of a Spanish flair.

I’ve had these models assembled and primed for close to three years now..or whenever it was when the first edition of Blitz Bowl came out. The long delay in getting ’em painted was because they looked a chore to paint, and I wasn’t sure what color scheme I’d go with. Turns out they were pretty easy.

The excellent Blitz Bowl: Ultimate Edition brought two new pitches to the game. Following the use of coach dp36 in the Blitz Bowl Discord, one of the two matches up well with some of the spiked terrain from the Warcry Catacombs box.

Back in Orctober I painted up a Black Orc Blitz Bowl team with the idea being that those six models could combine with the six models of my Orc Blitz Bowl team to be a 12 model strong College of Metal squad. Both Orc teams are black with white shoulder pads. Well, the College of Metal have a few other player options… Human Blitzers and Khorne Bloodseekers.

My son has been wanting to try out the Lizardmen team for awhile, but I tend to lean on a pretty strict “Play it Painted” mentality, so we haven’t run this squad in our Blitz Bowl games. Additionally, I struggled a bit with what color scheme I wanted to go with. Finally, I decided, the heck with it, let’s get ’em done.

Similar to the halflings needing a Treeman in the last post, the goblin team was now short a Troll with the release of Ultimate Edition. I made a trade for one of the plastic Blood Bowl trolls and had a go at doing him up in the browns of my Blitz Bowl goblin team.

In early September, I decided I’d take the new Khorne Team to Chaos Cup (a post on that team is forthcoming).
